Chhorii 2 Film Review, OTT Release Date:
‘Chhorii 2’ is now streaming on Amazon Prime. This time, it’s scarier than the first part. Sakshi returns to the same dangerous village to save her daughter’s life once again.
Chhorii 2 Review:
The wait is over for the second part of the 2021 horror film Chhorii. Released on April 11 on Amazon Prime, Chhorii 2 brings back Nusrat Bharucha in the role of Sakshi. In the first part, she fought evil people to protect her unborn child. Now, her baby is born, and once again, her life is in danger.
Film Story:
Chhorii 2 begins with Sakshi working as a school teacher. Her daughter suffers from a rare condition—she cannot be exposed to sunlight. If she goes outside during the day, her skin gets blisters. Sakshi asks the school for permission to let her daughter study from home, but they deny her request. So, she covers her child fully and brings her to school.
Then enters police officer Samar, who gave shelter to Sakshi and her daughter after saving them from the haunted village seven years ago. As Sakshi thanks Samar, the story moves into a flashback.
What Happens in the Flashback?
In the flashback, we see Sakshi’s painful past with her husband Rajbir. She had gone to his village during pregnancy, where she faced strange and scary events—ghosts, voices, and visions. Rajbir and his family tortured her.
Actor Gashmeer Mahajani plays police officer Samar. It is revealed that Sakshi had killed her husband and in-laws and surrendered to the police. But when the police went to the crime scene, there was no evidence or dead bodies. Then, Sakshi suddenly went into labor and gave birth to her daughter.
Years later, she still fears that evil, and now that darkness has returned to trouble her daughter. The village chief kidnaps her daughter and Rani. Once again, Sakshi must fight the same monsters to save them.
Soha Ali Khan's Impressive Role:
Soha Ali Khan plays a dangerous woman with evil powers called "Daasi Maa." Her character is truly scary, and her acting is powerful. Nusrat also shines as a mother who shows deep love, fear, and strength through her performance.
Why Should You Watch This Film?
If you love horror films, this is a great pick. But Chhorii 2 is not just about ghosts—it also talks about deep social issues. The film shows how some people still sacrifice daughters for the desire of a son and how women suffer in such societies.
Every scene keeps you engaged. The direction, cinematography, storyline, and screenplay are all top-notch.
Chhorii 2 Hit Or Flop:
The film received mixed reviews. Some people appreciated the horror and message, while others felt it lacked the charm of the first part. Its performance on OTT will decide if it's a hit or flop, but so far it has not created a huge buzz.
Chhorii 2 Users Ratings: 4.6/10 (449 Votes)
The audience gave the film a rating of 4.6 out of 10 based on 449 votes. This shows that while some viewers enjoyed the film, others were disappointed, especially with the story pace and horror elements.
My Personal Review After Watching Chhorii 2:
I felt the movie had a strong message and powerful performances, especially by Nusrat and Soha. The background score and horror visuals were good, but the pace was a bit slow in some parts. The flashback scenes were intense, and the emotional bond between mother and daughter felt real. Overall, it’s worth watching once if you like emotional horror stories.
